SEATTLE, WA – October 23, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Deckorators announced Meridian and Elevate, two decking collections planned for dealer and retail availability in January 2027, on October 13, 2026. Their arrival puts new surface choices on the calendar for Seattle-area homeowners planning a future deck. Alki Deck Builders lists Deckorators among the material brands associated with its deck construction work. The product announcement comes from the manufacturer; Alki has not announced that it stocks or installs either new collection.
Meridian and Elevate are the first Deckorators decking collections introduced after the company acquired MoistureShield decking assets, according to its October announcement. The distinction matters when comparing products: an existing Deckorators or MoistureShield board is not automatically one of these new lines. The names refer to specific forthcoming collections, and product documents should be checked by collection rather than by parent brand alone.

Meridian is announced in Hudson, Sonoma, Catalina and Newport colors. Deckorators says the collection uses CoolDeck technology and has a full one-inch profile approved by the manufacturer for dock and waterfront applications. Neither statement establishes the surface temperature of a particular deck, local approval for a waterfront structure or the board’s suitability for an existing frame. Those questions depend on the actual conditions and the product’s published instructions.
Elevate is announced in Basin Brown and Ridge Gray. Deckorators describes it as suitable for ground and water applications, with resistance to moisture, rot and insects. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independently verified results for a Seattle property. Buyers should compare the use and installation specifications once they are available rather than treat broad application language as permission to skip site design.
A new board surface still belongs to a complete deck assembly. Framing, fastening, stairs, railings and edges all affect how a proposed finish can be used. On a raised deck, there may also be a separate question about what happens to rainwater below the walking surface. The October product announcement does not introduce an underdeck drainage system or revise Seattle stormwater rules. A board choice by itself does not settle how water is handled under a structure.
Seattle properties do not all have the same light, grade or exposure. A homeowner comparing the four Meridian finishes or two Elevate finishes would need to see actual samples and understand which edges, board lengths and fastening arrangements work in the proposed plan. The collection name and an image are not enough to specify a stair tread or an awkward transition. That remains true when the work is a replacement rather than a new structure.
The timing also needs a clear distinction. January 2027 is the manufacturer’s planned dealer and retailer rollout, not a promise of immediate Seattle-area inventory. A project that must be specified sooner needs materials that can actually be sourced on its schedule. A later project can consider the new lines when the relevant technical documents and local supply are confirmed. Neither path requires treating an announcement as an order already placed.
Alki’s deck construction information names Deckorators in its material selection and describes its decking work. It does not identify Meridian or Elevate as installed products. The October launch establishes a new choice to examine, not a new Alki selection process, completed installation or evaluation of these collections. Before anyone specifies a board, the actual product documents and its fit with the proposed deck need to be reviewed.
Deckorators also announced railing and porch-flooring additions and plans to display its lineup at the International Builders’ Show in February 2027. For a future deck, the immediate value of the decking news is a dated set of options to investigate. Any recommendation or construction commitment still calls for the final specifications, supply confirmation and a design for the particular property.
