GONZALES, La. – June 26, 2026 – Ascension Center for Women’s Health (ACWH), an independent, physician-owned women’s health and hormone practice serving the Gonzales and greater Baton Rouge area since 2005, announced it now offers Emsella, a non-invasive technology designed to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles, as part of its pelvic wellness services.
Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology delivered through a specialized treatment chair. During a session, eligible patients remain fully clothed and seated while the device works to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. Because the approach is non-invasive, it adds a comfortable, in-office option to ACWH’s pelvic wellness offerings.
“Pelvic floor health is something many women quietly live with and rarely bring up, often during perimenopause and menopause,” said Dr. Jason Adams, MD, Founder. “Offering a non-invasive, in-office option lets us open that conversation and, when it’s clinically appropriate, give eligible patients another way to support their wellness as part of the care they already trust us with.”
Pelvic floor changes are common, particularly for women, and are often associated with childbirth, aging, and the hormonal transitions of perimenopause and menopause. Because menopause care has been central to ACWH’s work since 2005, the practice sees pelvic wellness as a natural part of that same conversation. Emsella may be appropriate for eligible patients when clinically appropriate, as determined during a consultation with an ACWH provider; suitability, expected experience, and any options are discussed individually, and outcomes vary from person to person.
As a women’s health practice, ACWH built its services around the needs of women — especially those navigating perimenopause and menopause — offering hormone and pellet therapy, metabolic wellness, and pelvic wellness as coordinated care under one roof. The goal is for patients to address related concerns together, with a single familiar team, rather than in fragments across different offices. While ACWH is female-first and centered on women’s health, Emsella is also available to men across its pelvic wellness services.
Emsella is an FDA-cleared device.
Individuals interested in learning more can request a complimentary hormone and wellness call window through the ACWH website. The complimentary call window is for scheduling and care navigation only and is not a medical visit; clinical appropriateness is determined by an ACWH provider.
